Rock Island completed the weekend home sweep by beating the Dukes. The Rocks were able to jump to an early lead and cruise after building a 21 point half time lead. Nine Rocks scored for the game with Chasson Randle leading the way with 21 while Brandon Pullman added 15. D.J. Anderson, Julian Mayfield, and Chris Ghess all chipped in 8 points. Pullman grabbed 8 boards with Anderson and Randle each collecting 8 each. Muskeyvalley contributed 5 assists.

Rock Island won their Senior Night game versus the crosstown rival Pioneers. Alleman and Rocky went back and forth for the first quarter, ending tied at 21 after the first eight minutes. The Rocks put on a run before the half to take a 15 point lead into the locker room. After the break, they were able to keep the momentum and build the lead to 20 points and cruised to the win.
The Rocks were paced by a balanced attack. Brandon Pullman (19), Julian Mayfield (17), and Chasson Randle (16) all reached double figures in scoring with Pullman grabbing 8 boards and Mayfield adding 7. Royce Muskeyvalley handed out 6 assists to go with 7 points while Jordan Hathorn scored 7 and had 3 steals.

Rock Island came away with the non-conference road victory by pulling away in the fourth quarter. The Rocks and Huskies went back and forth four the first three quarters, with Rocky taking a two point lead into the final eight minutes. The Rocks got a run to start the quarter and maintained a double figure lead the remainder of the way.
Brandon Pullman ended with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals while Chasson Randle added 23 points, 8 boards, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Royce Muskeyvalley added 9 points and 6 assists with Victor Jones adding 8 points and 4 rebounds off the bench.

Rock Island outlasted Quincy in this up and down the court shootout. The Rocks jumped to an early lead and was able to answer every charge the Blue Devils made, as they cut the lead to three points a number of times in the second half.
The Rocks placed five players in double figures with Julian Mayfield and Brandon Pullman each scoring 19 points while Chasson Randle (17), Jordan Hathorn (15), Royce Muskeyvalley (10), and D.J. Anderson (8) each contributed. Mayfield completed a double-double with 10 rebounds. Anderson collected 8 boards with Pullman and Randle each grabbing 6 and Victor Jones 5. Muskeyvalley dished out 8 of the Rocks' 19 assists while Randle had 5 steals.

Rock Island handed Moline its first Western Big 6 loss in front of about 5000 fans. The Maroons jumped to an early 10-2 lead in front of the home crowd, but the Rocks continued to battle at the defensive end and cut the lead to 10-7 after one period. Rocky continued to keep the momentum into the second quarter, holding Moline scoreless for almost nine minutes. The 16-0 run gave the Rocks an 18-10 lead before heading to the break with an 18-15 lead.
Rocky never trailed the rest of the way although Moline tied the game at 31 with 4:00 left. From there, the Rocks responded with a Brandon Pullman basket to take a 33-31 lead. After a Chasson Randle score and a Moline basket, Royce Muskeyvalley dished to Pullman for a dunk to make it 38-33 with 1:30 left. Jordan Hathorn and Muskeyvalley each hit two free throws down the stretch to help ice the win for the Rocks.
Randle scored 17 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and had 3 steals while Julian Mayfield had a good all-around game with 11 points and 3 boards. Pullman collected 8 rebounds.

Rock Island fell to the state's top-ranked 2A team at home in the finale of the Quad Cities-Peoria Shootout. Tied at 13 late in the first frame, the Rams hit a runner at the horn for a 15-13 lead. They carried that momentum into the decisive second quarter where the outscored the Rocks 21-5. Manual would not allow Rocky back into the game, as they shot 59% from the field for the game.
Rock Island was paced by Chasson Randle's 20 and Brandon Pullman's 18. Randle also grabbed 12 boards on the night.

The Rocks were able to control most of the first half, although early foul trouble was starting to mount. After leading by six at the break, Rocky picked up some more foul trouble and the Silver Streaks took advantage. After hitting a buzzer-beating three pointer and scoring on their initial possession of the final quarter, Galesburg was up by four points. The Rocks responded with a 16-1 run to build a double digit lead late in the game and held on for the win.
Chasson Randled scored 20 points and grabbed 7 boards to lead the way. The Rocks showed good balance with D.J. Anderson scoring 10 while collecting 8 rebounds, and Julian Mayfield added 10 points. Jordan Hathorn added 7 points off the bench. Mayfield dished out 4 assists while Royce Muskeyvalley had 4 steals.

Rock Island bounced back with a big first half on the road at Rock Falls. The Rocks were up 12-8 late in the first quarter before they put a big run on to grab a 41-16 halftime lead. The Rockets tried to claw back into the game during the second half, but Rocky was able to answer the call every time to gain the comfortable win.
Julian Mayfield had a big game on his birthday with 18 points to lead the way. Brandon Pullman added 14 and 8 rebounds while Chasson Randle added 13 and Victor Jones 11. Royce Muskeyvalley grabbed 6 steals as the Rocks forced 23 turnovers.

Rock Island lost a tough Western Big 6 battle in overtime to United Township. The Rocks struggled most of the night offensively, but were able to maintain a lead throughout the first half, and went to the locker room with a 16-13 lead. The Panthers responded to gain a brief lead in the third quarter before the Rocks took a six point lead after three quarters. They were not able to hold the lead in the final 1:00 as the game went to overtime. After trailing by seven early in the overtime, Rocky battled back. They had a shot to tie fall off the rim with just a few seconds left, and after missed free throws by UT, they had one last shot to tie that missed.
Chasson Randle scored 13 points, but was held to two baskets, and Jordan Hathorn scored 12 off the bench. Brandon Pullman ended with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Randle added 10 rebounds while Victor Jones grabbed 11.

In the city battle between Rock Island and Alleman, the Rocks were able to keep up the defensive pressure to wear down the Pioneers and get a big second half run to put the game away. Rocky jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter by getting some early turnovers. Alleman contined to battle in the second quarter, whittling the lead to four on two different occasions before the Rocks pulled out to a twelve point halftime lead.
The third quarter was the turning point as the Rocks doubled their hafltime lead to 24 points entering the final quarter. Chasson Randle scored 23 to go along with 7 assists, 7 steals, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Brandon Pullman added 18 points and 7 boards. LaVonti Gray added 8 off the bench while Julian Mayfield and Royce Muskeyvalley chippped in with 7. Muskeyvalley also had 7 steals.

Rock Island saw its four game win streak snapped by a hot-shooting Batavia team. After a close first quarter and a half, the Bulldogs ended the half on a 13-2 run that was ulitimately the difference in the game. They were able to extend the lead early in the third, but the Rocks were able to get the lead to single digits on a couple of occasions. Batavia seemed to have the answer every time the Rocks made a run, usually with a jump shot.
Chasson Randle scored 20 points, including four 3 pointers and Brandon Pullman added 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Rock Island earned the Western Big 6 win with a huge second half in Quincy. The Rocks started the game with defensive pressure, holding the Blue Devils to only four points in the first quarter. The second quarter was even, as the Rocks took a six point lead into the locker room. Quincy looked to regain momentum with a couple of runs, getting to within two points on one occasion. However, Rocky broke open a 31-27 game with 3:00 left in the third quarter by going on a 24-2 run early into the fourth quarter.
Chasson Randle paced a balanced attack with 17 points with Brandon Pullman scoring 15 and Julian Mayfield and Jordan Hathorn each contributing 11 points. Victor Jones grabbed 6 rebounds and Randle had 6 steals.

Rock Island finished off the State Farm Holiday Classic by winning the consolation championship over Quincy Notre Dame. The Rocks came out with a good defensive effort again to help gain control of the game. They couldn't shake the Raiders during the first half, but a three pointer from Brandon Pullman to end the half built the lead to 8 points. The Rocks got the lead to double digits for most of the third quarter, but still only led by 8 after three quarters.
The Rocks got some big baskets from Chasson Randle to get the lead back to double figures before a couple of late buckets from QND. Randle had a big game with 37 points and 10 rebounds. Pullman added 17 points and 9 boards while Royce Muskeyvalley dished for 5 assists.

Rock Island bounced back after a disppointing first game of the tournament with a good win over Thornwood. The Rocks came out with a good effort defensively during the first half, leading 20-15 at the half. Rocky struggled offesively as well during the first sixteen minutes, but started to get some flow after the intermission. The Thunderbirds also started to heat up and took a one point lead with about 4:00 remaining in the game. However, the Rocks were able to stay composed and make the plays to come away with the win.
Chasson Randle scored 23 and grabbed 7 boards, and Brandon Pullman posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards while adding 4 blocked shots and 3 steals. Julian Mayfield scored 8 and Royce Muskeyvalley had 5 assists.

After missing some early opportunities early, the Rocks were forced to play from behind against the quick guards and hot shooting of the Senators who ended up shooting almost 65% from the floor. Rocky could never get any momentum as Springfield was able to control the tempo and hit open shots.

Rock Island lost a heart-breaker in the Iowa-Illinois Shootout. After the Rocks built an eleven point lead early in the second quarter, the Blue Devils battled back to within one point at the half. They then built a nine point lead of their own late in the third quarter. However, the Rocks wouldn't go away and caught them midway throught the final quarter. After a couple of lead changes down the stretch, Central held a two point lead and Rocky had the ball out of bounds under their own basket. A potential game-winning open three pointer rimmed out at the horn.
Brandon Pullman had a huge game with 25 points and 11 boards. Jordan Hathorn scored 14 points off the bench. Royce Muskeyvalley had 6 assists and 3 steals, while Chasson Randle scored 7 and grabbed 8 boards. D.J. Anderson chipped in 7 points, and Julian Mayfield took 3 charges for the Rocks.

In a game at Assembly Hall on the campus of the University of Illinois, the Rocks took on state-ranked Waukegan. The Bulldogs jumped to an early lead and held off every Rocks' run all day long. Rock Island couldn't get within three points throughout the game, and Waukegan was able to extend the lead to ten down the stretch.
Brandon Pullman scored 21 and collected 12 rebounds, and Chasson Randle added 20 points, 6 boards, and 3 steals.

Rock Island lost a heart breaking conference game to Moline in a low-scoring contest. The Rocks were tentative the entire first half and trailed 20-14 at the break. Rocky started to catch fire in the third quarter and took a 26-24 lead after three quarters. After Rock Island led 33-30, the Maroons responded to regain the lead. Moline was able to ice the game at the end of the game while the Rocks couldn't capitalize on scoring opportunities.
Brandon Pullman scored 16 and Chasson Randle added 14 to account for most of the Rocks' scoring on the night.

Rock Island bounced back in this battle of state-ranked teams with an exciting road win. The Rocks jumped out to a 12-4 lead, but the Golden Warriors battled back and a big second quarter gave them a 31-25 halftime lead. Rocky fell behind by 11 points in the third quarter before Brandon Pullman started to take over. Pullman scored 18 points in the third quarter as the Rocks battled back to within four points heading into the final eight minutes.
The fourth quarter provided some excitement with the Rocks taking a 58-55 lead with just over a minute to play on a Chris Ghess jumper. Sterling answered with four free throws to take a 59-58 lead with just under 30 seconds to play. After a timeout, Chasson Randle was fouled going to the basket and knocked down both free throws. Sterling had a three pointer fall short at the buzzer. Pullman ended with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Randle ended with 15 points and 5 boards. Julian Mayfield added 9 points to go with 5 boards.

The Rocks were able to pull away from the Knights in the third quarter, opening up an 11 point lead heading to the final quarter. Brandon Pullman paced the Rocks with 16 points and 13 rebounds with Chasson Randle pitching in 15 points and 10 boards. Julian Mayfield added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Chris Ghess had a nice game off the bench with 9 points and 5 boards.
Pullman was named the Gary Moran Most Valuable Player while Randle and Royce Muskeyvalley both earned All-Tournament honors.

Rocky extended the lead in the second half, taking a nine point lead into the final stanza. The Jaguars wouldn't go away, but the Rocks made enough plays down the stretch to hang on for the win. Pullman led the way with 18 points and 12 rebounds with Chasson Randle also reaching double figures with 15. Royce Muskeyvalley and Julian Mayfield each pitched in 9 points. Mayfield and Randle each grabbed 7 boards while Royce Muskeyvalley dished out 8 assists and had 5 steals.

Rocky was only able to take a 19-16 lead at the half, but extended it to 39-31 with a run during the third quarter, fueled by Chasson Randle's nine points.
Brandon Pullman scored 8 in the final quarter to help seal the season-opening win. Pullman ended the game with 17 points while Randle chipped in 15. Jordan Hathorn hit two big threes for six points. Pullman and Randle each grabbed 7 boards while Royce Muskeyvally dished out 10 assists.
