Rock Island won the game, but ended up in 2nd Place to Richwoods because of the tiebreaker used in the three way tie (Bogan also 3-1). After trailing 11-0 early in the game, the Rocks were able to make free throws and get some shots to fall to get within one point after the first quarter. With a big second quarter, the Rocks led by six at the break.
The third quarter was low scoring as the Knights went to a zone defense and the Rocks held the ball for the final shot, to go up 8 after three quarters. Richwoods hit a couple of big shots down the stretch, and after a missed free throw by Rocky, had a last second shot rim out.
Chasson Randle scored 21 points and grabbed 6 boards with Royce Muskeyvalley scoring 10 and dishing out 4 assists.
