This is a general calendar of events. No dates are given because it is intended as a broad overview. Even the months may change, depending how the calendar falls and when intercession is scheduled.
High School
	July-October	Marching band season
	October	concerts in preparation for IMEA auditions
		IMEA auditions (determine placement for District and State)
	November	IMEA District concerts
	December	choir sings for KWQC taping (usually at Augustana)
		winter concerts - choir, instrumental separate
	January	IMEA State concerts
		auditions for school musical, rehearsals begin
	March	Musical
		IHSA solo & ensemble contest
		Eastside/Westside concerts (band only)
		Choir concert (in preparation for IHSA organizational contest)
		Orchestra concert (with jr high & 6th grade)
	April	IHSA organizational contest
	May	Just Desserts awards night
		Ice-Cream Social (band and orchestra)
		Pops Concert (choir)
	*Other*	Specialty groups such as Chamber Singers, Jazz Band, and Chamber Orchestra perform at community events at various times of the year. Festivals at Milliken University (choir) or WIU (band, orchestra), or an extended trip with performance are scheduled some years.
Junior High

6th Grade Instrumental
	November	concert at Augustana Centennial Hall
	March	Eastside/Westside concerts (band only)
		Orchestra concert (with high school & jr high)
	May	concert (usually held at RIHS Field House)
