Develop experiments on plants based on questions asked by students.

Identify different insects that live in forest, prairie, or wetland habitat.

Find clues that animals use the same plants for shelter and food that humans have used.

Plant a variety of plant species in a school garden and observe at different times of year.

Observe and keep a journal about a single tree, visit the tree during each season.

Take a field trip to BHSHS, or other park/museum, and develop a photo journal presentation to post on the web or share at a school or parent event.

Find a plant at Black Hawk State Historic Site that is not described. Search the web for data and and submit your findings to add to this website.

Download the map and use the data to make a range map for one or more plants. Submit it for addition to this website.
