Music is the difference between living, and living well.

Music is an essential part of the emotional and intellectual development of children. It helps to create inquisitive, thoughtful people and develops an ability to appreciate and enjoy those things that provide art, beauty, and life to our world.

In our music classes at Thomas Jefferson we strive to provide every student with the musical skills necessary to create, innovate and enjoy all music to the fullest of their abilities. This includes training in music reading, music appreciation, music history, and performance skills.
